Understanding the Individual

Values, transference and self-awareness are important for coach and coachee. We also introduce Appreciative Inquiry, the SOAR model, and look at Goal Setting in the context of the individual.

The Psychology of Coaching

Learners will be introduced to schools of thought and common terms in psychology. An emphasis is placed on the more recent work in Positive Psychology, Flow and a Strengths Based approach to coaching.

Coaching and Mentoring in the Workplace

Common coaching and mentoring scenarios are explored in this module, including time and decision making. Team coaching is also introduced, along with the managing of additional stakeholders in the coaching / mentoring relationship.

Coaching Change and Conflict

Tools such as SCARF, TACT and Switching Perspectives are explored in this module. We take a deeper look at emotions, triggers, conflict styles and models for understanding how individuals process change.
